| Housing Auctions Queen Anne of Austria 16:41 | We will try to hold housing (and other various items at times) auctions each sunday (real day) until all outcity housing is gone. In this next auction, for those of you who were not present at the previous one held at the Royal Ball, one of the properties on the auction list will be the Country Estate available for bidding by those holding the title of Grande. All winning bids will be finalized following the auction. Monies must be exchanged at this time. Those bidding on items without the proper funding will find themselves banned from future auctions. This sunday's auction is tentatively scheduled to coincide with the Church picnic hosted by Deaconesse Katrine Rousseau and Acolyte Eliaya Linoge following Mass. All are invited to attend. | Beyond the Gates King Louis XIII 18:46 | At the last court many suggestions were made, many commments and opinions given. Some of those things were quite easy and have been put in, such as moving back to our roots and the time of the Musketeers and removing the year from our date system. Other things are more involved and require a foundation be built to put them in the context of our time and our city. While some of the things being done have been obvious, much has been and is being done behind the scenes. Many of you have even had a part in some of the changes, additions and designs. Additionally, much has been happening outside the gates of the city. Old gates and undiscovered gates. Adventureous explorers have found areas which extend far beyond the familiar and safe walls of our city. Over the past weeks I have had city adventurers and guards mapping and securing a small portion of the new area and I'm happy to say that it is now safe enough for group travel. The new road to the city of Dijon is safe enough, though should you travel through the Pillager's Woods group travel is still recommended for your safety. That being said... At Noon EST, Sunday, 30 July, the road to Dijon and the loop through the woods back to the city will be opened to all. You will still find several guarded roadblocks that are too dangerous for travel at this point, but I think it will not be long before they too are opened for you all. By my hand extending beyond the walls of Paris, Louis XIII, King of All France |

| Employment Requirements King Louis XIII 22:02 | Effective today I have removed the upper caps on all jobs, both title and social level. You may now hold trash collector even though you are a Grande or your social level reaches 100. I don't expect that many of our Arches would choose to be trash collectors but that option is there should you choose. For the moment I have left in place the lower title and social limits on jobs as there is a certain amount of knowledge required before holding most positions. Likewise the obligation to keep your work in line with your abilities has not been changed. You will still find yourself overworked and losing positions should you choose to hold too many. If the system takes a job from you for this reason, it is likely not to be the one you wanted to lose. Hopefully these measures will help with those returning who find themselves unemployable.
