Gameplay Charges
Age of the Throne is a Pay-to-Play Game. Your monies are invested back into Age of the Throne. Please support Age of the Throne by Subscribing! We use the money to:
  • Pay Programmers to expand the Gameworld
  • Pay Server and Bandwidth Charges.
  • Pay for Advertising Banners.

New Users
When a new character is created it is credited with 10 hours of free play time, once this time is up the player can decide to quit that character without further cost or to continue playing that character by typing the SUBSCRIBE command.

Charging for use of Age of the Throne

PayPal Payments

You can use your PayPal account to draft from your credit card or checking account to subscribe to the Age of the Throne.

Automatic Payment

The easiest and preferred manner to accomplish this is to SUBSCRIBE in game and select option "P" to activate your character to receive PayPal payments directly. After you have done this you will be able to use the AOTT PayPal link to make your payment and have it reported directly to the game. Your account should be updated within an hour of the transaction completing (for verified senders, this can take 4-6 hours, and for unverified senders it could take up to a day), and you do not need to email or message the sysops.

To cancel recurring PayPal payments:

Log in to your PayPal account.
Click Profile at the top of the page.
Click the Recurring Payments link in the Financial Information column.
Find the merchant you want to cancel and click the View Payment link.
Click the Cancel button and follow the online instructions.

Undoing PayPal options in-game WILL NOT turn off recurring payments. That must be done on PayPal's site. AOTT is NOT responsible for you not unsubscribing to recurring payments properly.

Use Paypal to Subscribe

If you are having trouble, please right-click on the button above or the PayPal link above and choose to open the link in a new tab or window - this will assure that the frames are removed so that you will be able to proceed unhindered.

If you are still experiencing difficulties or you are receiving an error message about cookies, you will need to make sure that you have enabled the website aott.com to access cookies on your computer. In Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can do so by clicking Tools > Internet Options and selecting the Privacy tab. On this tab, you should see a Sites button that will allow you to enter the website www.aott.com as a trusted sender of cookies. In Firefox, click Tools > Options... and on the Privacy tab choose Exceptions which will allow you to enter www.aott.com as an exception to allow cookies.

AOTT only uses cookies in conjunction with PayPal to process transactions. By allowing AOTT to send cookies to your computer, you are using a trusted website and your PayPal payment will be processed more quickly.

Manual Payment

If you are having extreme issues with the PayPal payment link or subscription button above, you can choose the slower manual payment method by sending a payment in the amount of $12 US DOLLARS should be sent to kinglouis@aott.com. To ensure expedient crediting please enter SUBSCRIPTION FOR (character's name) in the SUBJECT line of the PayPal transaction form.

After submitting payment you will need to send a game msg (MSG LOUIS and MSG ANNE) informing us that you have submitted a PayPal transaction. Failure to send this in-game msg could delay the crediting of your character. Please allow up to three days (72 hours) for subscription credits to be posted to your character.

Cheques, Money Orders and Cashier's Drafts

Cheques and money orders should have the characters name that is to be credited clearly marked in the memo area or reverse.
